Consider the lotus flower that grows at the bottom of the muddy pond. When the time is right, it stretches out a tiny bud until the clarity of the lighted surface is reached. And then it blossoms into a beautiful flower. Most people at some point have the same struggle through life's tough, dark times. Some of us need help to grow and move through these times. The lotus reminds us that we can rise and overcome our difficulties to create the life of beauty, peace, and joy that we are wanting.
